THE ANGLE OF FLICKERING LIGHT by Gina Troisi was launched April 6.

"At once deeply personal yet pulsing with the universally familiar aches of love and longing, The Angle of Flickering Light brings us into Gina Troisi's moving search for identity and belonging. In fourteen essays that wrest meaning from a youth and young adulthood irrevocably shaped by her father's infidelity, her grandfather's death, and her lover's heroin addiction, Troisi shows us that-even after we've been unmoored-it's possible to reimagine who we are, and redefine what it means to come home." The German Girl by Armando Correa. Not new, but interesting and sentimental, although it’s depressing. Does not have a happy denouement. Artistically written in dual 1st person POV through 1939-2014.

I am the publisher of two beautifully illustrated children's picture story books written by Kathleen Macferran and illustrated by Kenneth Schrag:

How Giraffes Found Their Hearts https://bookshop.org/a/24065/9780991174744 and

How Giraffes Got Their Ears https://bookshop.org/a/24065/9780991174751

Giraffes, one of the land animals with the largest hearts, are sometimes referred to as symbols of Nonviolent Communication since our hearts are where we hold the feelings and needs we most cherish. In How the Giraffe's Got Their Ears, the giraffes find joy when they are able to hear the beautiful feelings and needs in all hearts, in other words, when they are able to empathize with each other. How Giraffe's Found Their Hearts is a story of the importance of being connected to our own hearts so we can live from our own values and joy. This two-book series is also set to music and narrated in the ePub editions. https://www.artisanbookworks.com/book-catalog/books-by-kathleen-macferran/

I am the author of recently released children's picture book 'Adventures of Pig and Mouse: An Unusual Adventure', illustrated by Anya Macleod. https://bookshop.org/a/24065/9780999120095

Pig isn't like most pigs. She doesn't like to roll in the mud or get dirty. She likes to watch birds and butterflies. She likes to sing and make up stories. She's a daydreamer. Mouse is a vagabond, always moving to keep safe. When events bring them together, an unlikely friendship forms as they bond over their first adventure: treasure hunting!

Pig and Mouse formed an unusual friendship, but maybe it's not unusal at all. If you've ever witnessed a connection between two species, say, a dog and a cat, or a cat and a bird, you already know animals are capable of feeling love and empathy just like we can.
