MetroWest Writer’s Guild Fall Retreat!
The MetroWest Writer’s is hosting their hybrid Fall Retreat next week!! There will be some sessions online (like mine!) and some IRL at the absolutely lovely Endicott House in Dedham, MA, followed by a FREE write-in and social at Carson Beach in Boston. Full-ticket deadline is this Friday (9/1)! If you’re not local, you can snag a digital-only ticket and still get access to my session + sessions with four other amazing instructors and access to the inspiring MWG online community.

Hi Allison! I am super excited to share my new memoir, Up the Down Escalator: Medicine, Motherhood, and Multiple Sclerosis: https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Up-the-Down-Escalator/Lisa-Doggett/9780757324864
It has taken me over a decade to write and publish this book about my transformation from doctor to patient with multiple sclerosis, while directing a clinic for people without insurance. It was launched just two weeks ago. I would be delighted if you could share it with other readers.
I really enjoy your newsletter, and always look forward to your tea recommendations.
All the best,
Lisa Doggett

I have been waiting very impatiently for Sohla El-Waylly's cookbook START HERE which releases in October (check out her Substack, @The Hot Dish). Also, MENEWOOD, the sequel to Nicola Griffith's gorgious historical novel HILD, is ALSO finally releasing in October. I have been waiting years for it and can't wait. What are you excited to read?
